Diana Taying: Arunachal Pradesh’s First Woman Football Referee at National Level 

Diana Taying’s achievement is truly inspiring! She has made history as the first woman football referee from Arunachal Pradesh to officiate a national-level match1. Her journey to this milestone included clearing the National Football Referee Examination in March, which involved both physical and written tests conducted by the All India Football Federation in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh1.  She officiated as an assistant referee in the match between Manipur and Andhra Pradesh during the Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar, where Manipur won 3-01. Diana hails from Miglung village in Bilat, East Siang district, and holds degrees in BA, BPEd, and MA in sports psychology1.  Her success is a significant step forward for women in sports officiating, especially in football.
