RGU Honors Student Athletes for Excellence in National Championships

Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) recently honored three of its student athletes for their outstanding performances in the All India Inter-University Championships 2024-25.
- Yorna Roshini, a sports psychology student, won silver in nanquan and bronze in nandao at the All India Inter-University Wushu Championship, held at Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, from February 22 to 27.
- Hinium Mama and Lika Aku, both BPEd students, excelled in pencak silat at the All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship, hosted by Kristu Jayanti College under Bengaluru North University, Karnataka, from April 13 to 16. Mama secured silver, while Aku won bronze in the tanding category.
RGU’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof SK Nayak praised the athletes for their dedication and emphasized the university’s commitment to sports and holistic student development. The felicitation event was attended by several distinguished university officials and faculty members.
This recognition highlights RGU’s efforts in promoting sports excellence among students.
