Rising Stars: India’s U-19 Squad Gears Up for Glory

The Indian U-19 football team received a warm felicitation at Hotel Dassang, Naharlagun, ahead of the SAFF U-19 Championship 2025. The event was attended by local dignitaries, sports officials, and enthusiastic fans, who came together to celebrate and encourage the young squad.
The SAFF U-19 Championship 2025 is set to take place in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh, from May 9 to 18. This marks a historic moment as Arunachal Pradesh hosts an international football tournament for the first time. The Indian team has been training at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru before arriving in the state.
Head coach Bibiano Fernandes expressed confidence in the team’s preparation and thanked the local authorities for their support. The tournament will feature six teams, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India.
